Why it happened, in plain English

The filed reason is “product may be contaminated with Salmonella.” The record does not say whether the firm found it, a customer did, or a regulator did, and it does not name a lot. The product is a single-ingredient moringa capsule, so the organism came in with the leaf powder. Moringa is a dried leaf. Drying preserves Salmonella rather than killing it, and encapsulation adds no kill step.

The scale is the unusual part: over 1.2 million units, shipped nationwide plus American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, and to consumers in a long list of countries starting with Algeria. The label shows a Cheyenne, Wyoming distributor address while the firm files from New York. This is a brand at online-marketplace scale, and every international consumer sale is a separate notification problem.

Who else should care

This is one of at least eight moringa and greens powder Salmonella recalls we count between November 2025 and September 2026. The records do not say they share a supplier, and we do not claim that. What they share is the acceptance step: botanical powder cleared on the supplier’s certificate of analysis rather than a test the buyer ran.

Brands selling single-ingredient botanical capsules at high volume through online channels should read this closely. At a million units, a positive lot is not a small notification exercise. Check: whether you can name the lot of powder behind every bottle you sold, and whether you hold your own Salmonella result for it.
